Train to Busan (Yeon Sang-ho, 2016)

Today, I will review the movie named Train to Busan. First of all, I love this movie. I choose this movie to review is because there have many highlights about this movie that i want to talk about. The genre of this movie is horror. What is horror? The official definition of horror is an overwhelming and painful feeling caused by something frightfully shocking, terrifying, or revolting. However, in my meaning of horror is just only shocking and feeling scared, always making me have goosebumps. Theory Discussion In this movie, there is some theory that we can see it and also learn many theory in the class. The theory that we can bring it to this movie is semantics. Semantics is the list of common traits and attitudes, characters, shows, locations, sets, etc, bringing us to very much the visual aspects of the film. Review of Memento

Synopsis  There is a man called Leonard who has the inability to form new memories and also have the short-term memory. The new memory will disappear when it's until a period of few minutes of time as he caused by the accident that someone has been kidnapped and murdered his wife and there is a guy that push Leonard to the mirror straight to fell down, cause his head bleeding. The movie is start with 2 sequences which is the colour and black and white that represent two different time lines. The colour sequences shown backward of the scenes on how Leonard finds the killer although the killer had been killed in the first scene. The black and white sequences shown that he is speaking to an unknown killer for showing how is this case happened. The final scene shown that the changes of sequences when the photo develops. At that time, Teddy told him that the real killer is already have been killed and reveals that Sammy's story is his own story and burn the photo to make up the...

Synopsis  This prequel movie of Train of Busan has 3 main characters which is Hye-sun, the girl who live with her careless boyfriend, Ki-woong and a man named Suk-gyu who searching for his runaway daughter. The story begins when a homeless old man with his bleeding neck walking on the street and lie down on the floor until a homeless and kind guy try to help him but it was turned to bad outcome and the zombie apocalypse was begun. Suk-gyu knows the girl on Seoul as he found out on the internet that Ki-woong post it to betray his girlfriend due to the money problem. This couple separate to different places after their fight. Suk-gyu recognize him as her "father" and goes with Ki-woong to find her. After many conflicts, these 3 people finally meet each other but she reveals that Suk-gyu is not her father and he kills Ki-woong instead. Suk-gyu takes her on a bed but she lost her consciousness. Hye-sun revive and killed Suk-gyu. The film ends with the city in chaos....
